Kindergarten Registration

Welcome to Kindergarten!
2016-2017 Kindergarten registration is now open. Please complete the online registration by clicking on the link below. Your child must be 5 on or before September 01, 2016. There are no exceptions to this as it is State law.

Once you have completed the online registration you need to bring a birth certificate, proof of residency and immunization records to your child's school to complete your new Kindergarten registration.

5th Grade Parents! Ecker Hill School Community Council - seeking nominations

SCC NOMINATIONS for 2016-2018

Ecker Hill Middle School Community Council (SCC) is a committee comprised of faculty and parents that impacts the operation of the school in many important ways. We evaluate standardized testing results, help formulate the school improvement plan, make decisions regarding LAND Trust funds, and provide oversight in a number of other ways. SCC consists of parents, teachers, and the principal. We meet monthly from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. If you're interested in serving our school community, this is a way to have significant impact with a relatively small time commitment.

El Consejo Comunitario Escolar de Ecker Hill Middle School (SCC) consiste en un comité compuesto por el profesorado y padres que impactan la operación de la escuela de varias formas importantes. Evaluamos los resultados de los exámenes estándar, asistimos en la formulación del plan de mejoramiento de la escuela, tomamos las decisiones referente a a los fondos fiduciarios LAND, y entre otros aportamos con la supervisión en otras áreas. El SCC está compuesto por padres de familia, profesores, y el director. Nos reunimos una vez al mes desde la 1:00 pm hasta las 3:00pm. Si se interesan en prestar sus servicios a nuestra comunidad escolar, a través de esta vía se produce un impacto significativo y compromiso de tiempo mínimo.

No parking on the red curb at MPES.
Please have kids exit at curbside and depart immediately.
If you would like to walk your child to class, please park at Treasure Mountain and use the cross walk.

If you intend to exit your car, please park at Treasure Mountain. No idling or parking at curb. To avoid traffic congestion, please park at Treasure Mountain.

Land Trust Plans

Who creates the School Improvement and Land Trust Plans? The School Community Council writes the plans and sets the schoolwide academic goals. Want to get involved? We're seeking school community council parent nominees for the 2014-2016 term. Questions, or need more information? Please e-mail bedmiston@pcschools.us

How will the school spend next year's Land Trust dollars? $3000, Kindergarten Boot Camp for 20 school-selected kindergartners to get ready for the school year. $3900, to employ a Science Kits Manager for 2nd - 5th graders. The students will be conducting inquiry-based science in the regular classroom. $20,100, for Spanish and English literacy interventions. We will employ staff to work with primary grade children who are struggling to read in English and/or Spanish.
