Computer Repair Center

The Technology Department will be opening a computer repair center at McPolin Elementary starting on Monday, March 30.

This repair center will be available to help with hardware issues for all students and staff.

It will be open weekly on the following schedule:

Monday: 9 am – 11 am and 12 pm – 2 pm

Thursday: 9 am – 11 am and 12 pm – 2 pm

Closed for Spring Break April 6 – April 10th

The repair center will only have loaner laptops, and for the foreseeable future we will not be doing any hardware repairs. Students and faculty will be issued a freshly imaged loaner laptop. For this reason, it is critical to have your files backed up, or stored on Google Drive.

Home Learning Packets

Park City School District has prepared Learning Packets for K-5 students to ensure continuous learning at home. Daily learning activities should engage students for 4 hours per day. View the Home Learning Packets here.

Connectivity issue (laptop is not getting the correct time)

The primary issue we are seeing with elementary laptops is that if they were not charged when they got home, the correct time will not sync using the home wifi network. To solve this issue:

  • Come back to any district school with the laptop, park outside, and just reboot the computer.
  • Once the computer is restarted, log into the machine with your username and password.
  • Once the computer is reconnected to the school wifi (PCSD-Secure 19/20), the time issue will be corrected.
  • As long as the computer stays charged at home, they should not have the problem again so it is important to keep the laptop charged.

Communication During School Dismissal

During this period of at-home learning, email and texts to parents will be the primary method of school communication.  Due to increased email load, please be patient and allow 48 hours for teachers and staff to respond to email.

McPolin Elementary Parent Teacher Conferences will be:

February 3 – February 14, 2020.

To give greater flexibility in scheduling parent-teacher conferences, McPolin Elementary has conference schedules available online. Parent online sign up, below, will start January 24 and run until midnight February 7, 2020. Parents will have the opportunity to access their teachers’ conference calendars and schedule a convenient conference time.  If you have not made an appointment by February 7, 2020 teachers will pick a time for you and notify you in a take-home note or email just prior to the conference period.

The school welcomes you to come in and use one of our computers if you do not have internet access at home or work.  Alternatively, you may access the Internet via the computers at your local library.

Please be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to efficiently schedule your appointments.  Remember, the appointments are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  You will be receiving the easy to follow instructions from your child’s teacher.

Para dar mayor flexibilidad en la programación de las conferencias de padres y maestros, la Escuela Primaria McPolin tiene horarios de conferencias disponibles en línea. La inscripción en línea para padres, comenzará el 24 de Enero de 2020 y durará hasta la medianoche del 7 de Febrero de 2020. Los padres tendrán la oportunidad de acceder a los calendarios de conferencias de sus maestros y programar una hora conveniente para la conferencia.  Si usted no ha hecho una cita para el 7 de Febrero de 2020, los maestros elegirán una hora para usted y le notificarán en una nota para llevar a casa o por correo electrónico justo antes del período de la conferencia.

Kindergarten New Student Registration


2020-21 Kindergarten Registration

Park City School District’s Kindergarten registration is OPEN for the 2020-21 school year At the Park City School District Office (2700 Kearns Blvd.)

In person: Monday – Friday between 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

Enrollment Paperwork:

  1. Copy of Student’s Birth Certificate.
  2. Copy of Student’s Immunization Record (your student will not be able to attend unless they are current on all required immunizations or have an Immunization Waiver on file with the district.) IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
  3. Proof of Residency Requirement Form, with 2 forms of approved Proof of Residency. RESIDENCY FORM
  4. Completed Vision Screen Form. VISION SCREENING CERTIFICATE
  5. Guardianship Papers (required if birth parents are divorced, or if you are not the student’s parent) 

Students must live in the Park City School District Boundary to enroll.

Students must be 5 years old on or befo­re September 1.

Please provide all information/documentation. Incomplete packets will not be accepted.

You must complete the online registration AT LEAST 24 HOURS BEFORE your appointment. If you don’t have internet access at home, you can use a computer at the school or at the public library. Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration in English:


Once the online registration is complete please bring the following documents to the school’s front office:
  1. Copy of original Birth Certificate (not hospital copy)
  2. Record of immunizations (must be current before entering kindergarten)
  3. Vision Screen (A vision screen is require by Utah State Law for all Kindergarten students)
  4. Proof of residency, i.e. utility bill, lease or purchase agreement (in one or both of the parent(s)/guardian’s name)
